Care In The Garden’s much-anticipated Plug Plant Weekend is back later this week.
Taking place on Saturday, 22nd March, from 09:00 to 16:00, and Sunday, 23rd March, from 10:00 to 16:00, this is your chance to stock up on top-quality plug plants at unbeatable prices—all while supporting a great local cause.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this event offers a wide selection of affordable plug plants to help bring your garden to life this spring. With a reputation for superb quality and value, Care In The Garden is the perfect place to grab a bargain while making a real difference to your community.
Established in 2012, this Community Interest Company (CIC) is dedicated to providing supported work placements in horticulture, floristry, and woodwork for individuals who might otherwise struggle to find meaningful employment. By purchasing plants from this special weekend event, you’re directly contributing to social care initiatives on the Isle of Wight. Your support helps fund training, work experience, and confidence-building activities for those who benefit from the project.
At Care In The Garden, the focus is on inclusion, empowerment, and creativity. The organisation’s ethos is simple: the best ideas come from those with a quiet voice. By working together, trainees help develop a range of products and services, learning valuable skills in a safe and nurturing environment.
With the addition of Splinter Wood Products, the project now extends beyond gardening to include woodwork and floristry. Participants gain hands-on experience crafting beautiful wooden items and stunning floral arrangements, available for purchase throughout the year.
Your purchases help Care In The Garden continue its mission of breaking down barriers and fostering equality through understanding.
A Care In The Garden spokesperson has said:
“Join us this weekend and transform your garden while making a real difference in your community. With incredible deals, expert advice, and a warm community atmosphere, this is an event not to be missed.”
