An investigation has been launched by Police into the death of a 45-year-old Isle of Wight man amid concerns surrounding the circumstances of his passing last month.
Police have been maintaining an around-the-clock presence outside the deceased’s flat on High Street, Ryde for more than 3 days.
It has been confirmed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary that detectives are probing the death of a 45-year-old man who died in hospital on Tuesday 4th February.
It’s said that concerns about the death were raised with the force more than 3 weeks later, during the early hours of Thursday morning (27th February).
The death is being treated as unexplained at the current time.
The man’s family has been informed.
Island Echo understands the man’s flat has been emptied by family members and rubbish disposed of.
