UPDATED: Police are this morning (Monday) investigating a break-in at a pharmacy in Cowes last night.
Officers were alerted to an alarm activation at Boots Pharmacy, Cowes Medical Centre at around 22:30, where Police discovered a window had been smashed to gain entry to the premises.
The scene has been cordoned off as officers await forensic investigators to comb the area for evidence.
Disruption to the pharmacy’s normal service is expected today.
UPDATE: The pharmacy is to remain closed this morning and into this afternoon as investigations continue.
Hampshire Constabulary say it is unclear at this time what, if anything, has been taken.
