Emergency services have rushed to Cowes this evening (Sunday) following reports of a serious incident, which has led to a footpath being cordoned off.
Several police officers have responded to Newport Road at the junction of Artic Road and have sealed off a grassed area and a footpath, which leads to nearby Fraser Close.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have also been present at the scene and are thought to have attended to 1 casualty. Paramedics have now stood down.
Emergency services were called to the town sometime before 21:30.
The full circumstances of tonight’s incident are yet to be confirmed by Police but Island Echo has approached Hampshire Constabulary for a statement – which is expected in the morning.
Police are likely to remain on scene for quite some time whilst investigations get underway. Evidence has already been taken away in forensic bags.
Door to door enquiries are taking place.

patience wears thin, tempers flare more easily and people are much closer to the edge and lash out, whereas the same situation without a lockdown may have been handled differently.

No aggie you are right, i do not know the circumstances, however, look around you, see how people’s patience is wearing thin with their liberties and freedoms being stamped on by a bunch of non elected so called scientists who have the elected mp’s dangling on the end of a piece of string.
as said, there will be more situations that end violently due to lockdown stresses, which may not have been the case if people’s freedoms and liberties were respected.
The increase is due to the council being paid off per family they take from other councils ,normally the families they do not want.. many towns have suffered the same fate, increasing homelessness, crime ,drink and drugs, along with knife and gun crime, give it 10years and itll be the same, car theft seems to be on the rise here already

So, you can imagine that their council will off load as many troublesome as is possible.
Vote our selfish, greedy council out next time. They will not be living or affected by the misery they are soon to inflict on others, as they can afford to move well away from the areas they ruin for Island people.

As more are brought into this Island to fill many of the masses of home to be built here, it will become far far more common place, as beings like that won’t ‘change’ just because they live in a different area.

Typical Cowes, really nothing to do with the lockdown. The sensible people realise the necessity of it, the idiots carry on as normal.
