A road traffic incident has forced the closure of Ashey Road on the outskirts of Ryde this afternoon (Thursday).
Initial reports suggest that at least 1 vehicle is involved in the incident near Ashey Garage between Smallbrook Roundabout and Green Lane.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are in attendance and further resources may be required. CPR is being given to an individual, Island Echo is told.
The road has been closed in both directions and is likely to remain closed for some time. Motorists are diverting locally. Smallbrook Lane has reopened following gas works.

It means the reporter has said at least 1 vehicle… how could it be less..?
The poor man had a medical episode! Lucky there was no others involved but doesn’t help the poor family with their loss. Be respectful.
