Emergency services were called to an icy country lane earlier this morning (Tuesday) following a crash.
Police were called at 08:49 to a single vehicle collision on Burnt House Lane.
Such was the location of the crash, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary closed the road at the junction with Downend Road.
No injuries have been reported.

At some point it’s no longer an accident—it’s just natural selection with a commute.
Without commenting on this or similar single vehicle incidents of leaving the road, and bearing in mind the proposals for bearing down on older drivers, would it not be interesting if the gender and age of the driver were revealed in future reports?
