No injuries have been reported following a 3-car collision on a main road in Cowes this morning (Friday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 08:37 with reports of a collision on Newport Road in Cowes involving 3 vehicles, one of which was a parked car, near Cowes Medical Centre.
A BMW, Volkswagen and Ford have been damaged in the collision.
It is thought that the VW was travelling up Newport Road towards Three Gates Road when it collided with the vehicles, one of which was leaving a property opposite the nearby doctors’ surgery.
Police have attended – as did the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service – but thankfully no injuries have been reported.
Newport Road remains open under give and take whilst Police await recovery.
UPDATE @ 09:55 – The involved vehicles have been recovered and the road has been cleared.

Refresher courses might be a good idea for Island
motorists, alternatively a trip to Specsavers might
also be a good idea.
Careless and rushing I expect. How about some ramps around there to stop the speeding
The whole island needs speed ramps.
Sometimes I wonder if the island authorities want
vehicles to speed, because they have NO measures
in place to STOP speeding.
Install speed cameras and speed ramps F.F.S
There was no speeding but simply a car pulling out without ensuring it was safe to do so, so stop adding your pathetic assumptions and maybe get your facts together before adding your useless rants
Instead of keeping writing to this paper, go to the council offices in person and have a rant at the people responsible for the island roads and safety?
How about stop adding your comments before knowing the facts
How about some ramps to slow down your thoughtless ideas and get some facts in place
