Concerns for the welfare of a person on Ryde Pier have been alleviated following a Police response to the scene this afternoon (Saturday).
Officers made their way to the ‘wet end’ of the Pier at around 15:30 following reports of a person near the edge, acting in a concerning way.
Ryde Inshore Rescue’s Ryde Rescue 2 Lifeboat was launched but just moments later was stood down following a safe resolution to the situation.
Police have now departed from the Pier, which remains open as normal.
