Flexible commercial space close to the Isle of Wight’s county town could soon become available.
Palmers IOW has said its change of use application for 2 buildings at the Hangar Business Park off Forest Road near Newport would enable a ‘range of permissible tenants’ to quickly occupy the facilities.
The plans would ‘support local businesses and the local economy’ as well as offering ‘flexibility/diversification of existing buildings’, a statement from the applicant’s agent.

BCM Wilson Hill said.
“This proposal supports local employment and the expansion of existing local companies via sustainable growth and re-use of existing employment buildings,
“The proposal will provide units for existing business and opportunities for startups.
“Given the nature of the existing site and previous uses, the proposal will not materially change the appearance of the site and thus will not adversely impact on the wider landscape.”
