Tesco petrol station in Ryde is closed this morning (Friday), but the reason for the closure is currently unknown.
In the last week or so, several pumps – both diesel and petrol – have been out of order, with motorists facing longer-than-usual queues.
This morning the national supermarket chain has placed cones across the forecourt entrance with a sign apologising to motorists.
UPDATE – Island Echo is told that electrical testing has forced the closure, but it is unclear how long one of the busiest petrol stations on the Island will remain closed for.
UPDATE @ 12:30 – The petrol station has now reopened.

Honestly, some of the rubbish you come out with. Here it seems you are insinuating that that only petrol and diesel cars are prone to speeding. EVs are capable of that too. Unless you mean the youngens can’t afford an EV car, which currently most of us can’t. I’m assuming you drive an EV car or don’t drive at all!!

Evs are now anti woke so that wont work for the Narrative “Enough is Enough” 😛 EV’s are worse for the environment that petrol so doomed on that and yes they do speed. Matter of fact it would see that people with Ev’s seem to have an attitude when driving
