A pair of serving paratroopers from the Isle of Wight will undertake a formidable endurance challenge on UK Armed Forces Day tomorrow (Saturday) to raise money for The Veterans Hub IOW.
Louie Dale of 7 PARA and Dillon Gough of 3 PARA will push themselves through a 3-part test of strength and stamina in support of fellow veterans across the Island.
The challenge begins at 06:00 with a 15-mile Tactical Advance to Battle (TAB) from Sandown, each carrying 16.5kg of kit. From there, the pair will embark on a 70-mile cycle ride around the Isle of Wight.
To conclude the day, they will run a half marathon, aiming to arrive at The Veterans Hub in Ryde by 18:30.
The challenge aims to showcase the grit and commitment of those currently serving in the Armed Forces, while raising vital funds for the Ryde-based support organisation.
The Veterans Hub IOW provides ongoing support for veterans across the Isle of Wight, offering services that promote mental health, wellbeing and reintegration into civilian life.
Supporters are encouraged to cheer on Louie and Dillon along their route or join the celebration at the finish line in Ryde.
