Although the Isle of Wight escaped significant snowfall today (Sunday), gritters will once again be out and about treating the local road network tonight.
With temperatures remaining low the gritting fleet are to be deployed twice – at 19:00 this evening and again at 05:00 tomorrow morning to treat known wet spots.
All the usual routes will be treated alongside bridges at Stag Lane and Foxes Road, Newport.
Motorists are being reminded to drive according to the road conditions.
