Organisers of Isle of Wight Day have confirmed that there will be no event in 2022, but that the celebrations will resume in September 2023.
It had been planned for the Day to go ahead last month, but the sudden passing of Her Late Majesty The Queen saw the event postponed.
Unfortunately, organisers have been unable to secure a new date to hold the event this year.
However, it has been announced that Isle of Wight Day 2023 will be held at Brading Roman Villa on Saturday 16th September 2023, with all the activities and attractions that had been planned for this year. Entry will be just £1 for Islanders.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Day team has said:
“We are looking for volunteers to join our team as Friends of Isle of Wight Day and help with the delivery of next year’s event. For full details visit www.isleofwightday.com.
“See you at Brading Roman Villa next September!”
