UPDATED: Police and HM Coastguard are conducting a search for a missing person in Ventnor tonight (Tuesday).
Multiple units have descended on the Esplanade, Dudley Road and La Falaise car park as part of the ongoing search, which is centered around the coast.
The first Police units arrived on scene at around 23:00.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team and several Police officers are thought to be searching for a woman, of unknown age and description.
Weather conditions are fairly poor for officials with wind, rain and fog all affecting the search area.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY @ 00:12 – The missing woman has been found safe and well by Police.
The search operation has now been concluded and resources are standing down.
