Residents of the Isle of Wight are being invited to Newport Minster next week for a special commemorative service marking 80 years since Victory in Europe Day.
The service will take place at 17:00 on Thursday (8th May) at Newport Minster, with attendees asked to be seated by 16:45.
As part of the event, memories from VE Day will be shared, accompanied by performances from the choir of Newport and Carisbrooke Church of England Primary School, alongside the combined church choirs of the parish.
The occasion aims to bring the local community together in remembrance of the end of the Second World War in Europe, honouring those who served and sacrificed during the conflict.
Newport Minster is encouraging members of the public to attend and take part in this historic moment of reflection.
