A 25-year old man has been charged for possession of a hammer following an incident at the Red Jet Terminal in Cowes yesterday (Monday).
As previously reported by Island Echo, Police were called to reports of a public order incident shortly before 15:30 and 2 men were arrested.
A spokeseprson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has now said:
“Following enquiries, 25-year-old Cayliam Sheen, of Elm Grove in Newport, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place – namely a hammer. He has been bailed to appear at Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 17th October.
“The 2nd man arrested, an 18-year-old from Newport, has been dealt with by means of community resolution for possession of cannabis.”
I personally prefer buying my hammers from the mainland as they are of a much higher quality, and have amassed a collection of well over 4.
same cayliam sheen that was done for weapons offences in ryde, back in 2021 – got a jail term for that.

I’ve come across more than one man and van on the island who should be prosecuted for owning a hammer…
Most of them are on Facebook with glowing (family and friend) references for jobs well done…
These people are in a circle of never ending crime… How long before he is convicted of a major crime!
In August 2021, IE reported:
“25-year-old Cameron Baker and 23-year-old Cayliam Sheen have both been handed 18-month prison sentences after brandishing a harpoon and a chainsaw during an incident in Oakfield back in May of this year.”
