NEWCHURCH MALE VOICE CHOIR RAISE £262 FROM ISLE OF WIGHT BUS AND COACH MUSEUM PERFORMANCE

A queue of 60 to 70 passengers at the Isle of Wight Coach and Bus Museum were surprised to be serenaded by Newchurch Male Voice Choir at 15:00 on Sunday afternoon.

The Museum Depot visitors were entertained with a selection of popular songs that referenced the years the coaches and buses in the Museum were in use. The ‘conductor’ did a good job as the trip raised £262, which will help the Museum with its projects.

Bob Cooper, for the Choir, said:

“Performing in the Museum Depot amongst these vehicles, that bring back so many memories, is another of the unusual places the Choir has sung in over the years, and it is our pleasure to do so.”

For the Choir’s next concert, the Choir welcome the visiting Mynyddislwyn Male Voice Choir from Blackwood, South Wales, at St Paul’s Church, Shanklin on Saturday 27th August.
