UPDATED: The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service and Police are attending a road traffic collision on St George’s Way in Newport this morning (Friday).
A motorcyclist has been injured in the incident, which has taken place at the new ASDA roundabout.
Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 09:30.
Traffic is reported to be tailed back in the area.
UPDATE @ 10:20 – St George’s Way has been closed by Police from the Blackwater direction, with all traffic being diverted via Medina Avenue.
Southern Vectis buses are not currently serving ASDA on inbound journeys to Newport.
UPDATE @ 11:10 – St George’s Way has now re-opened to all traffic following the earlier crash between a motorcycle and a Toyota car.
The motorcyclist has sustained a minor injury in the crash.
