UPDATED: Firefighters have extinguished a motorcycle blaze in Cowes this evening (Sunday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were mobilised to the scene at Cowes Skate Park at around 18:45.
Crews arrived at Park Road to discover a motorcycle and park bench well alight.
Island Echo understands the incident is being treated as suspicious, with a group of youths seen to be running from the area. Police have been informed.
UPDATE MONDAY – Police have arrested and questioned a 16-year-old boy from Newport on suspicion of arson and possessing a Class B drug.
The youngster has been released from custody but remains under investigation.
