UPDATED: Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are responding to a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Freshwater this afternoon (Monday).
It is reported that the motorcyclist has sustained a significant arm injury in the smash, which has involved a Land Rover Freelander.
The incident has taken place on Afton Road, close to the garage.
Island Echo readers are reporting that traffic is building in the area. Motorists should divert locally.
UPDATE @ 15:37 – The male motorcyclist has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital with an injury to his arm.
The scene has now been cleared.
