A band of rogue cows was asked to mooove over by Police after they strayed too far from their pasture near the Downs yesterday evening (Monday).
Officers were called to the busy stretch of road in the vicinity of the Hare and Hounds Pub at just after 21:30 after motorists reported the obstruction.
With help from some ‘udderly’ heroic members of the public, officers managed to herd the furry beasts back into their field.
Police Sergeant Radford has shared his vast experience of the bovine beasts on Facebook this morning. He said:
“Did you know cows kill more people a year than sharks? I’m not a fan of cows, I think it’s their size and the look in their eyes!”
Cows are not fans of humans either………… we kill them and some people eat them
