Monkey Haven are mourning the loss of Siamang Bog, who passed away earlier this weekend.
The Staplers Road establishment, confirmed that Bog passed away after a battle with cancer.
Back in October, Bog celebrated his 23rd birthday.
The gibbon was best known alongside fellow Siamang, and his uncle, Xhabu – who sadly passed away earlier this year.
Taking to their Facebook page, a Monkey Haven spokesperson has said:
“Bog loved his quiet moments, watching the world go by from his favourite spots, and sharing soft, trusting interactions with his keepers.
“The Haven won’t be the same without him, and our hearts feel very heavy as we say goodbye to this beautiful boy.
“As we mourn his loss, we find a little comfort in knowing that Bog is now reunited with Xhabu, his lifelong companion and a huge part of his story. Together again, side by side as they always were.”
