A person has sustained minor injuries following an incident involving an Isle of Wight NHS Trust ambulance in Newport yesterday (Wednesday).
Island Echo understands that a car pulled out on the ambulance on Cynthia Grove at around 17:50.
Police and additional paramedics attended the scene where one person – thought to be a member of the public – was treated for minor injuries.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said:
“We were called at 17:50 after a single vehicle collision in Staplers Road. Officers attended, one man reported minor injuries.”
No damage was sustained to the frontline emergency vehicle.
We now have to specify (IW NHS Trust Ambulance) what kind of ambulance, just in case other ambulance services get credit for saving lives some else, or the funding gets redirected!
