A collision involving at least 2 vehicles outside St Mary’s Hosptial in Newport is causing rush hour delays this morning (Monday).
The incident has occurred on Parkhurst Road at the entrance to the hospital site.
Island Echo is told that it appears 1 vehicle crossed into the path of another whilst turning into St Mary’s.
No one is thought to be trapped or seriously injured.
Traffic heading into Newport from Cowes is delayed this morning so motorists should allow extra time for their journey.
Southern Vectis say there may be some delays to Route 1 buses as a result of this collision.
UPDATE – The incident has now been cleared and traffic is free-flowing once again.

Nothing to do with road layout, I have travelled that road many a time before and after the new layout and speaking as a professional driver the new layout is fine, guess you are an island driver hence your comment
The road layout into the hospital has not changed .
