A new mental health initiative called ‘Lifelines for Island Pubs’ has been launched by Mindset Bros, aiming to save lives and raise awareness for men’s mental health across the Isle of Wight.
The campaign will see 40,000 Lifeline Cards distributed across 100 pubs on the Isle of Wight, providing men with immediate and discreet access to mental health support during times of crisis.
Each card includes a QR code linking directly to key support networks, including an online community of men who understand, free monthly meet-ups, guided walk-and-talk sessions, and confidential one-to-one mentoring.
Pubs have been chosen as a key location for the campaign, recognising their role as social spaces where men often go when feeling isolated.
The Lifeline Cards will be placed on bar counters and in men’s toilets, allowing them to be picked up quietly and without judgement.
Ross Taylor, Founder of Mindset Bros, has said:
“We know that too many men are suffering in silence. By placing these cards in pubs where conversations happen and emotions are often hidden, we’re providing a simple, powerful connection to hope.
“This campaign is about community, conversation, and ultimately saving lives.”
The Lifelines initiative forms part of Mindset Bros’ ongoing mission to normalise conversations around men’s mental health, ensuring that no man on the Isle of Wight ever feels alone or without support.
