A 24-hour car valeting challenge has raised an impressive £5,150 to help Mindset Bros continue raising awareness for men’s mental health across the Isle of Wight.
Mindset Bros CIC hosted the event at The Yarbridge Inn, Brading from 16:00 yesterday (Friday) through to just gone 16:00 this afternoon, with cars arriving around the clock.
Every single 30-minute slot was booked by supportive locals determined to back the local good cause.
Alongside the valeting, visitors enjoyed live music, purchased merchandise and showed their solidarity in tackling the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
Special recognition has gone to Rich Fox, Ben Vineer and Charlie Harris, who led the 24-hour effort, supported by Harris Detailing, BRV Detailing and The Yarbridge Inn.
Car care specialists Dodo Juice also contributed with products to keep standards high throughout the marathon challenge.
Ross Taylor, founder of Mindset Bros, has tonight said:
“We are humbled by the turnout and generosity shown by the community. £5,150 is an incredible amount to raise in just 24 hours, and it will go directly towards initiatives that make a difference for men struggling in silence.
“We can’t thank Rich, Ben, Charlie, Harris Detailing, BRV Detailing, The Yarbridge Inn, Dodo Juice, and every supporter enough for making this event possible.”
Mindset Bros CIC says the funds raised will help to drive future campaigns, events and outreach across the Isle of Wight, building safe spaces for men to talk openly about mental health.
