Firefighters and paramedics are on scene in East Cowes this evening (Friday) where the extrication of a casualty from a first-floor window is underway.
The incident has occurred at a property on York Avenue, opposite East Cowes Library.
A single Ambulance and Rapid Response Vehicle from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service were first called to the scene shortly after 16:30.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has sent its Aerial Ladder Platform from Newport to assist in the extraction of a casualty who is situated in the first floor of a semi-detached property.
York Avenue is partly blocked at this time.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
