The ladies of Freshwater Bay Golf Club have held their first trophy competition of 2026, taking advantage of unseasonably pleasant weather on the Isle of Wight.
The Medal Winners trophy marked the opening competition of the year, with players enjoying favourable conditions for the early-season event.
Shirley Miles claimed victory with a net score of 71, narrowly beating Sammi Keen on countback after both players finished level.
The competition signals the start of the ladies’ golfing calendar for 2026.
