Firefighters from Ryde and Ventnor are tackling a manure heap fire at a farm on the outskirts of Ryde this afternoon (Tuesday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to the incident at Kemp Hill Farm off Stroudwood Road at just before 14:40. The farm is owned by former High Sheriff for the Isle of Wight, Ron Holland.
Crews are currently spreading out and damping down a heap around 12m x 10m in size.
Two pumping appliances from Ryde and a water carrier from Ventnor are on scene.
No persons or livestock have been injured and the situation is under control.
