A cyclist has risked serious injury – or worse – by crossing a live train track with his pushbike to reach a disused platform on the other side…
The incident happened at Brading Train Station earlier this morning (Tuesday) and saw the foreign visitor dismount the operational platform, carry his bike across the track and then climb onto the disused platform.
Once on the other side, the man climbed over a fence before looking back at other passengers in confusion. It’s unclear why the man thought the other platform was in use as there is no track laid on that side of the station.
It’s safe to say that visitor got a ticking off by Island Line’s guard – but thankfully no one was injured.
The cyclist returned to the correct side of Brading Train Station using the footbridge.
