You can think our greedy corupt council for taking back handers in exchange too house the mainland scummey overspill for all these crimes now I’m sure.murders…knifing.. muggings.. way more drugs ect.
Now we all are suffering
IOWS RUINED
Jen you absolute fool, do you think all the jobless, drug addicts, and alcoholics, etc that are born on the island are a better class of scum.
unfortunately this is a national problem, many of the crimes if not the majority of crimes committed on the island are by locals, the island is still a very fortunate area where crime, and real crimanials are concerned.
I ask you to spend a few years on the mainland, not to far southmpton will do, then come back and tell us its anything like the island.
But you won’t your narrow minded and blind to the society you live in, the island has created and breed its own problems.
There is no mainland overspill as there are no houses lol
Absolutely correct!! And well bloody said. Lol
Real I could not had said it better,I’m from the mainland and so is my husband, both of us ‘ scum’ work for NHS saving lives of people a majority who are born islanders and a percentage of these folks come toAE due to drug and alcohol abuse. Jen I think you should get educated or stay quite and watch the news.
Just saying, I and my partner are both from the mainland, we too are not “scum” we both do jobs, most locals are unwilling or unable to do, and both our jobs have a positive impact on the island. Most people who move here from the mainland pay their own rent and contribute to the island in a positive way. It just frustrating here people who rant about this “mainland” problem, when they have probably never left the island.
I couldnt sleep last night and went for a walk in Ryde. The atmosphere is horrendous and scary. Drunk loud completely out of control people, and a gobby bouncer harrasing a bloke on his own outside the old Bow bars…I wont be doing it again. There are a LOT of frustrated Isle of Wight youths shouting running around punching random things. Watch this space. Things are going to get MUCH worse.
Pure scum. Why are these dregs of society living on the island? Oh, because the bloody IOW Council get money for taking them and housing them here.
What is ‘pure scum’? ‘ dregs of society living on the Island’. I feel you need to educate yourself on the reality of young people on this island. It is the culture of today,I know throw my job that there is a minority of young males and females 12 years up who smoke dope drink alcohol deal drugs and do not have any fear for authority, would just tell them to “fuck off”, happy to wear their hoodie, steal intimidate because they can,are all the parents ‘scum’ mainlanders ? No, some, but it a mixture of kids bored and just following their older counterparts. We are living in a society saturated with violence on TV ,games, etc. Its just my opinion that it must be a very confusing time, there is also thousand more young people who are amazing.
