A man in his 70s has died after emergency services responded to concerns for his welfare on Bouldnor Road in Yarmouth yesterday afternoon (Tuesday).
Police were called to a residential address along the main road connecting Yarmouth and Newport at around 17:30 following reports concerning the welfare of the man.
3 police units attended the incident alongside a critical care paramedic, a rapid response paramedic and an ambulance crew. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that his next of kin has been informed.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, although police say it is not thought to be suspicious at this time.
A spokesperson for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has said:
“We were contacted at around 5:30pm yesterday (Tuesday 22nd September) to reports of the concern for welfare of a man in his 70s on Bouldnor Road, Yarmouth.
“The man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
