A man from Surrey has been charged as part of a proactive investigation into a County Line being run from Surrey to the Isle of Wight.
Yesterday (Monday 15th February), detectives investigating a county line running from Leatherhead to Newport, executed an early morning warrant in Fareham, as part of a wider operation looking into drugs supply.
The warrants were executed by officers from the Force’s specialist department on county lines, Operation Monument, supported by officers from Surrey Police.
As a result, Kieran Rainford, aged 37, from Cressall Close, Leatherhead, Surrey, has been charged with 2 counts of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates Court today (Tuesday).

Facial recognition at ferry terminals, cross-site ANPR, satellite tracking – why aren’t we using all these available technologies? Which humans’ rights are we protecting?
the rights of the law abiding, innocent citizens to go about their daily business without being monitored and watched by the state and having their every move recorded, checked and analysed – we are not china yet.
It just goes to prove, drug dealing scum affects us all in some way…
isle of wighter, no-one’s interested in monitoring you until you make yourself of interest by law-breaking. Unlike less secure states, we don’t make the personnel available to sift through every minute of camera footage, every phone call, every number-plate record.
Don’t let paranoia blind you to the possibilities.
Ha ha ha how naive! Lol
So far it looks like 17 muppets would like to live in China. Go on then, bye, you can take that doom goblin Thunberg with you as well.
But you all have mobile phones that can be monitored 24/7 and the “rights of the law abiding citizens” are more under threat from the criminal fraternity than any surveilance equipment, and by the way have you had you vaccination yet?
You’re having a laugh!
Can’t walk down the road without being on some sort of cctv these days, private or state.
Anyway unless you have something to hide why would you worry?
I’m sure you you’d prefer this sort of scum were removed from society before they poison your kids
you mean the technology that allows camper vans to arrive off the ferries last weekend.!!!
Yes Col, everyone should know a ferry that operates out of Portsmouth to IOW and back, were jammed packed on Friday. People at the top and in charge are doing NOTHING to protect Isle of Wight residents from COVID being bought here again from all the people piling on the ferries and travelling over here. Oh, and Tesco is extremely busier than normal. WHY IS THIS BEING ALLOWED TO HAPPEN???? Why are the Police not at the ports in Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington checking travellers details. If they were they would catch many travelling over illegally under lockdown rules. It is hardly ESSENTIAL TRAVEL
With you 100% Sunshine. Am tired of listening to petty excuses as to why the ferry ports can’t be policed. If it causes delays so be it, a bit of inconvenience is much better than people getting infected and possibly losing their lives. I said from the beginning that if people without legitimate reason and proof of such are turned back with no refunds it would soon stop them coming. The Covid here has come from the mainland whether it be selfish idiotic locals on shopping trips or tourists and second home owners it was brought over on the ferries.
I agree, but also by the Island shoppers that day shop at Primark and Portsmouth Keys.. Especially at Cowes, with that ‘Day Shopping trip to Southampton and or Portsmouth !! Christmas time was a great time for Covid !!
Someone would of done well in the NKVD or the Gestapo.
Someone would have done well to have paid attention in English lessons.
IWCC will not spend the money given by the Government on things we need, but on stupid ideas like Bigger Floating bridge…
Shame it was only the warrent that the police executed.
Helen highwater needs to get off her high horse…she thinks its still 1821
I bet he hoping to be sentenced by the Isle of Wight courts.
Smacked bottom and told to stand in the corner for a hour.
