A 52-year-old man remains in custody this afternoon after he was arrested following an alleged assault at an address in Sandown last night (Monday).
Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 19:38 yesterday evening to a report that a man assaulted another man at an address on Fort Street, Sandown, causing minor injuries.
At the scene, a 52-year-old man from Sandown was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He remains in custody.
