A burst water main has resulted in a loss of supply for hundreds of households in Ryde this morning (Monday).
Properties in Ryde and Binstead are currently without water as a result of the unexpected incident on Ashey Road, where contractors have been working to replace the entire main pipe for several weeks.
Southern Water are already repairing the burst on the 12 inch main and anticipate that things should return to normal within 3 hours.
Households may notice some discolouration or low pressure at first; this is completely normal when there’s been a disruption to the supply and is only temporary.
Southern Water apologise for any inconvenience caused.
