The Isle of Wight Photographic Society (IWPS) is holding its annual Exhibition at Ryde Library, upstairs in the gallery, until 24th November.
On display will be photos from the Society’s members.
Established in 1945, although there is some evidence to indicate that the Society had its origins in the late 19th century, the group is the oldest photographic club on the Island.
There are experienced members who are willing to offer their help. Regular competitions are held; those are for prints and projected digital images.
The society meet face to face at Arreton Community Hall or via Zoom every Wednesday from September to May, In addition, there will be a Saturday morning Hub session 10.00-12.00 at Quay Arts Centre in Newport on the last Saturday of the month. The Hub is an informal get-together to explore editing techniques, ask for help etc.
