The IW Met Service has issued a level 3 heat warning as temperatures across the Island are set to reach above 30C today (Monday).
Yesterday, temperatures climbed to a staggering 34C in the Elmfield area of Ryde, with Islanders heading out to the beaches to soak up the sun.
The IW Met Service forecasts a hot and sunny day today with almost unbroken sunshine across the Island. A little patchy cloud may develop in central and northern parts during the afternoon, also the distant clouds of thunderstorms will likely be visible to the north and northeast, but these will stay a good distance away from the Island.
Temperatures will hit 27-29°C, with a few places reaching 30-31°C once again in more central, northern and eastern parts, although closer to 22°C on windward coasts.
Overnight temperatures will remain at a steady 17-19C.
Tomorrow’s forecast sees another hot and sunny day with just a little patchy cloud at times.
Temperature 28-30°C but around 21°C on windward coasts.
