A group of 8 gymnasts from the Isle of Wight’s Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy have returned from a mainland competition with an impressive haul of 31 medals, 4 overall trophies and the award for Highest Scoring Club of the Year.
The club, which travelled to the event with support from Red Funnel, has described the competition as one of the best they have ever attended.
Each gymnast performed with dedication and pride, collectively earning a total of 31 medals. Their success also included 4 overall trophies, as well as the inaugural ‘Shellyeah’ trophy – awarded for outstanding team performance.
Capping off an already successful event, the team were named Highest Scoring Club of the Year.
A spokesperson for Legacy Elite Gymnastics Academy has said:
“The gymnasts beautifully presented our club and we couldn’t have asked anymore of them.
“We are unbelievably proud of each and every one of them!”
