HM Coastguard is appealing for information about the owner of a white and burgundy jet ski which has been found adrift in the Solent.
A large scale search has been launched for a potential person in the water after the jet ski was found with a killcord not attached and a mobile phone on board.
The personal water craft – a Yamaha Waverunner – has a ‘201 Langstone Harbour’ sticker attached.
Gosport and Fareham Independent Lifeboat, Coastguard Rescue 175 helicopter, Hillhead Coastguard Rescue Team and Calshot RNLI Lifeboat are searching tonight.
It is currently unknown where the craft set off from.
If you have information regarding the owner of the jet ski call HM Coastguard on 023 9255 2100.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY – The search continues, with additional resources called in. Read the latest at https://www.islandecho.co.uk/major-search-continues-for-missing-jet-skier/.

The phone should have details on it. Unless it is an illegal. Hope the rider is soon found before it is too dark. Worrying for someone who knows them. Surely a pal or loved one will call soon to see where they are?
Just posted something similar on another site of island echo. Agree with phone details but added that 201 Langstone Harbour is another source of possible details. Wishing for a happy outcome.
