2022 is off to a joyful start for 2 Island families as it is announced 2 New Year’s Day baby boys were welcomed into the world at St Mary’s Hospital this year.
Harlan Howarth was born at 10:24 weighing 6Ib 10oz and is a son for Chelsey Maynard and Jordan Howarth from Cowes.
Chelsey Maynard said:
“We were so happy that Harlan arrived safely and it was also such a nice surprise for him to be the first baby born on the Island in 2022.
“We cannot praise and thank everyone that took care of us during pregnancy, delivery and aftercare enough.
“What a way to start the new year.”
Fabien Franklyn Johnson was born at 15:29 weighing 7Ib 1oz and is a son for Camille Kingsland and Luke Johnson.
Camille Kingsland said:
“Fabien was born New Years Day 2022 instead of 2021 and we thank everyone we met who supported his birth.
“My midwife Carly was very helpful and supportive throughout my pregnancy but when it came to the day, Fabien’s delivery was supported by Midwife’s Jade and Danielle, who were amazing in making us feel positive and relaxed and we cannot thank them enough.”
The newborns join 2 other bundles of joy who share a special birthday having been born on Christmas Day 2021.
