Community-minded Islander Jamie Hindson has continued his 2025 monthly donation pledge by gifting £100 to The Holt on Pyle Street, Newport – a service supporting children and young adults with additional needs.
34-year-old Jamie has committed to donating £100 each month to different Isle of Wight organisations throughout 2025, with May’s donation going to The Holt, a well-respected centre offering bespoke social care packages, community care at home, on-call services, and one-to-one tutoring for those on EOTAS/EOTIC packages.
Jamie has said:
“I’ve known The Holt for many years and it’s been amazing to see them grow from strength to strength. Juliet and her team are very welcoming and strive to bring lots of joy and support to young people and adults with additional needs.”

“We would like to say a massive thanks to Jamie Hindson who popped over to see us one afternoon and made a donation of £100 to our centre.
“All donations go to buying resources for our young people and adults in the centre, so this is very much appreciated Jamie, and so very kind. Thank you for thinking of us.”
Jamie’s monthly donations so far in 2025 include:
- January – Mountbatten Hospice, Newport
- February – Better Days Café, Ventnor
- March – Care in the Garden, Wootton
- April – Daisy Chains, Island-wide
- May – The Holt, Newport
Jamie has also been active in fundraising over the years, with highlights including a YMCA sleep-out challenge, a half marathon raising £1,000 for Island mental health services during the pandemic, and a donation to the NHS children’s ward at Christmas.
Well done Jamie, it would be nice if many of the
Islands businesses done similar.
