More than 150 artists across the Isle of Wight are preparing to open their studio doors to the public this week (Friday) as Isle of Wight Open Studios 2025 gets underway.
This popular annual event invites residents and visitors alike to explore working studios in all corners of the Isle of Wight, offering a unique opportunity to meet artists in their creative spaces and purchase original artwork directly from them.
Art lovers will be able to discover a wide variety of work including painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewellery, photography and textiles, all while enjoying the scenic locations in which many of the studios are based.
To help plan a visit, the Isle of Wight Open Studios website provides four area-specific maps and a detailed Artists Directory, which includes artist profiles, studio details and photographs. A printed version of the Directory is also available across the Isle of Wight and includes information on how to enter a competition to win a £200 voucher to spend with any participating artist.
Visitors are encouraged to begin their journey at the Showcase Exhibition at Quay Arts in Newport, which runs until Saturday (31st May). The free exhibition features selected works from artists across the Isle of Wight and offers an ideal starting point to plan a personalised art trail.
Entry to all studios is free throughout the 11-day event (16th May – 26th May).
