Isle of Wight Oi band Grade 2 – who come from Ryde – have been overwhelmed by the response to their new single Under the Streetlight which was released on Monday (14th November).
The single will be included in their new album to be released by Hellcat Records in early 2023.
Grade 2 say:
“We are extremely excited to announce our new self-titled album on Hellcat Records will be released Feb 17th 2023. Our new single and video “Under The Streetlight” is streaming on all platforms now!!
“Produced by ourselves, Tim Timebomb and TJ Rivera, we couldn’t be more proud of what we achieved.
“There were times it felt like every curveball known to man was thrown at us. After three years in the making, from writing on the road to lockdown bedroom demos. It’s finally here. Years of touring and two full-lengths under our belt, it feels we have honed in a sound that is uniquely ours and we present that with a packed 15-track record, each song having its own personal story behind it.”
The video for their latest single was shot in Ryde and features scenes from the Esplanade, Union Street and the Town Club in Star Street.

Really great to hear. Love the energy of punk and the messages within. Nice to hear the lyrics loud and clear.
