ISLAND’S MP BACKS PLAN TO TACKLE ILLEGAL MIGRANTS ARRIVING ON OUR SHORES

Isle of Wight MP, Bob Seely.

Isle of Wight MP Bob Seely says he is backing the Government’s plan to tackle the arrival of illegal migrants on the UK’s shores through the Illegal Migration Bill.

Mr Seely is throwing his support behind the Bill to deal with the increase of illegal immigrants entering the UK by crossing the English Channel in small boats.

In 2022, a staggering 45,755 people crossed the Channel illegally in small boats. Of these arrivals, 90% have, so far, applied for asylum. This includes 12,561 arrivals from Albania – the nationality most represented in illegal small boat arrivals – the majority of whom are young, male economic migrants.

Article continues below this advertisement

Speaking about the Bill, Bob has said:

“It’s right that the Government is taking action on small boats. The current system is unsustainable, causes harm to those that are smuggled, undermines our borders and creates excessive expense for taxpayers.

“Whilst a vocal minority may object, I strongly believe that the overwhelming majority of people will understand the importance of this Bill and support it.”

The Illegal Migration Bill is designed to establish a scheme through which anyone illegally arriving in the UK can be removed to their home country or to a safe third country in order to have their asylum claim processed.

Article continues below this advertisement

The Government have said that the Bill will deter illegal entry to the UK, save lives by breaking people smugglers’ business model, remove people with no right to remain in the country and set an annual cap on the number of people admitted to the UK for resettlement.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman, who has taken charge of the Bill’s passage through Parliament, has said:

“The Illegal Migration Bill will allow us to stop the boats that are bringing tens of thousands to our shores in flagrant breach of both our laws and the will of the British people.

“The small boats problem is part of a larger global migration crisis. In the coming years, developed countries will face unprecedented pressure levels from ever greater numbers of people leaving the developing world for places like the UK.

“Unless we act today, the problem will be worse tomorrow. And the problem is already unsustainable.”

Illegal immigration is estimated to cost British taxpayers £3billion a year. By the end of 2022, the backlog of asylum seekers had increased to 166,261, with the estimated public cost of providing asylum seekers with hotel accommodation estimated at £6million a day.

Many asylum seekers are economic migrants who have come from conflict-free countries. The majority of these migrants travel through conflict-free EU nations – in which they are entitled to seek asylum – in order to reach Britain.

Well guess who won’t be getting my vote, shows just what a racist selfish man he is, there are many other ways to stop this and not abuse the victims, traffickers need stopping- give them life in prison in Rawanda. This country is so far behind the times,we have over 1million jobs available so let the migrants work and would help tax payers save £ millions, employers and Migrants

There are legal economic migrants and illegal migrants/refugees. The Illegal Migration Bill relates to the illegal invaders, you know the ones who come to the UK without passports or any kind of identification. Economic Migrants are welcome as they go through the correct channels to enter the UK and obviously carry the correct identification required. The illegal invaders don’t carry identification for a very good reason and we know why. The illegal people are not victims as they are fit and young enough to fight for their own countries.

How is he racist? Dreadful throwing that word around. These ‘men’ have no passports. We don’t know if they’re murderers or rapists. How dare you think it acceptable to let them in. Maybe you can pay their health bills and pensions?

They are not coming here to work they are paying thousands to come here illegally in able to get all the benefits of this country when they could have paid far less for a plane ticket and arrived legally. There is no war in France. They are all young fighting age men,no women or children, surely they would come too if in such danger. They could be terrorists rapists, how do we know.As soon as they arrive they start hanging around schools after young girls which is ok in their culture but not here. Why should they be housed fed and warm when people born here are sleeping on the streets

Yes because on TV ever other face now HAS to be one of that lot.

And the more ‘unlikely’ a position these beings would normally be found in, the more ‘certain’ that they will be there

Even our history has to include them even though a thousand skull or bone fragments will be searched just to ‘show’ that the UK had a black here.

All modern drama series HAS to have them in high positions, never the criminal but chief of Police etc etc.

Most ad’s show a mixed race ‘family’ unrealistically as the ‘father’ is still around, but it has to be shown now.

Unsubtle brainwashing to force the unacceptable onto young impressionable minds, who sadly will find real life very different from the TV and films.

instead of wasting all this time, money and effort, as well as all this talk – just put a person on each beach in france with a gun and everytime a boat is seen, shoot the boat – it will deflate and then they won’t be able to turn up here.

“just put a person on each beach in France”.

You are talking about 40 miles of coast between Calais and Boulogne-sur-mer. Most hunting rifles have an effective range of 200 yards, so each of these people could cover a 400 yard stretch. That means you would need around 180 people.

You then have the little problem of who these shooters would be. They won’t be legal because the French certainly wouldn’t permit it.

So you have 180 illegal armed men on the coast of France taking pot-shots at boats.

What do you think the reaction of the French would be?

I’d give your blokes about 30 minutes before they end up in body bags.

Depends on your definition of effective range.
Personally I’d take it as when maximum velocity starts to drop.
It obviously depends on the ammunition used.
For example the 7.62×51 NATO has an effective range of 1000 yards.
Don’t forget your range on your beach is a radius so you would have to overlap the radiuses to create the kill zones.

A hotel a mile from where I live houses these immigrants. They are all men, healthy, fit and from Albania, a safe country. The homes near the hotel are full of elderly over ’70s. These men have ravished what was once a picturesque, quaint, quiet community, going out in large numbers at night and damaging properties. Criminal activity has soured in the area.

I’ve witnessed and have been harassed by these men.

I’ve heard continually and read on threads like this the UK is racist. It’s not Caucasian residents being racist; it’s the other way around. When 13 Albanian men come towards you and start slandering you because you are white, and the Police do nothing, you can understand why many in the UK have had enough.

The real problem is obvious. Our benefit system is too generous. These cretins don’t come here for our climate. They travel miles through safe Europe to then burden us to house, treat, feed, educate and fund them.

The lure of such an easy life, with generous benefits and weak laws, means we encourage more scroungers and criminals.

Whereas IF we just gave work permits, should we be short of workers, then those who come could be vetted and only workers fit, able and willing would stay.

As it is, we are openly encouraging freeloaders. Whilst some will work, as we see with early imm’s, many soon use children and benefits to fund their lives as in South London etc.

Ruination of a beautiful people and their nation.

Average asylum seeker gets under £10 a week, lets compare that with the billions spaffed up the wall and given to tory friends.

Incorrect I’m afraid the asylum seekers who are put up in the hotels get the free board and lodgings along with extra clothing if required and £40pw spending money. Not just the £10 you incorrectly claim.

And there are the veterans who have served this country in Afghanistan and Iraq, and just because they have PTSD, they are seen by authorities in the UK as a nuisance. Subsequently, they are thrown out of supported living onto the streets.

I know as twice a week, I meet up with several men who would love a warm bed, hot shower, food and clothing but are having to sleep rough because of their poor mental health. They get no support whatsoever.

Why doesn’t the UK give these veterans a room in a hotel; after all, they, too, are victims of war.

None arrive with a home, yet ALL will end up in one sooner or later.

Adding to the loss of our countryside, not for a while but for the rest of eternity.

Many aren’t nice, and abuse the kindness shown, seeing it as weakness to be exploited to the max.

The very fact their are ‘illegal’ arrivals shows they aren’t afraid of breaking the law in our land, and many end up in jails for rape, drug deals, se x trade, and violence.

As we have had years of immigration we now are aware that such soon take on the British way once being here a while and use having large families, combined with crime as a thank you for giving them everything and equal benefits to all of us who have paid in for years.

So Bob’s finest hour imo

These beings are almost entirely coming for an easier life, but that ‘easy’ life is at our expense, and not just financially.

We fund it, we have longer waits for dentist, for doctors and hospital appointments.

They add to the use of energy, water, sewage, land fill, traffic, pollution.

They fill maternity wards, courts, prisons, and ruin the British way of life forever.

They all need a home which takes such from a Brit and so add to the building of our beautiful country and have no loyalty.

They need getting rid of, and IF any are needed, then apply normally and WE decide what we want ,not let ‘them’ impose themselves on our weakness which they use to the full.

Funny how he socialised with illegal travellers who came to the Island during the COVID restrictions. Okay to travel illegally if you own two or more houses; not okay if you are homeless.

Chris Daw KC
“The migration bill would in practice make it impossible for anyone to arrive in the UK and claim asylum.

We would become a pariah nation in international law. This is just wrong and they know it.”

good – we don’t want the burdensome, sponging leeches here – they weren’t in danger in any of the countries they travelled through en route to the uk – they are just turning up to sponge.

Another great headline grab half a sausage. Didn’t have to lift a finger to do anything and just let his colleague demonise asylum seekers. We should start to call him Effortless Bob.

There are much bigger problems facing our Island than this, and our MP is playing right into the hands of the BNP and UKIP swamp dwellers – what a sad time for our country.

And that moron, Gary Lineker, claims there is no huge influx of illegal immigrants. We have a navy to protect our borders from illegals, so let’s use them.

When I think of a waste of space, for some reason Barbeque Bob springs too mind.

The Idiot cannot even STOP vehicles parking outside the Council Houses along Great Preston Road, Ryde.

Lisa, today is it?

So not the Southern African charming lady Mr M thought then but his close neighbour after all, now ‘who’ would have believed that? Not Mr M that’s for sure.

Amazed you comment on this subject matter but no shame comes with gross ignorance.

Just take a look at the photo, like many photos of these boats, Not one women not one kid, just young men, there economic migrants, I’m all up for helping genuine claimants like most people in this country, but boats full of young men is not genuine, that’s what gives migrants a bad name, but the doo gooders call you racist if you say such a thing

What makes the migrants think the UK is not in conflict? Maybe not with another country but there is a large amount of conflict within the UK. Unfortunately with illegal immigrants you do get those that are out to sabotage what peace and happiness lingers in the UK and to use others for illgotton means, such as drug pushers, sex slaves, murderers etc. We have enough of those operating the streets and roads at present.

Can’t see it working. Just giving a load of money to the French to laugh at us and keep letting them float across. There is no solution in this bill. Just a load of guff to make lowest common denominator fixate on immigrants in the run up to next election rather than remembering what a bunch of immoral Tory low lifes we have running this country. Why is Suella Braverman still in a job? Why is Boris Johnson still an MP? etc. etc.

So after 12 years of saying how tough they are on immigration their only answer is to break international law. Mind you, the red team are just as bad. Our only option to get control of our county back is to take our country back from the ruling elite and the bankers, by force! We need to do some ‘refactoring’ of the government.

I can see more appearing every day on the Island being put in Hotels and the council sneaks them in without you knowing.

Derry likely you have got a ‘buggy full’ in the family otherwise you must be thick as Gammon dropping encouraging the vilest people the planet has the misfortune to have upon it, and spreading fast, bringing vile crime, overcrowding and poverty to ever place they choose to settle en-masse, so it is MORE than coincidence, it is ‘they’ who ARE the problem.

go and look at sweden stuart derry – you clown.

those illegals are turning that country into a replica of the shitehole they left – you know why it was a shite hole-because they made it that way and the swedish felt sorry for them and stupidly thought they would see how nice sweden was and integrate – well they haven’t – they have turned areas of sweden into no go zones, violent crime, virtually unheard of in sweden is now rife and locals are finally realising that their stupid woke dimbo policies are destroying their culture, their country and for what – a handful of do gooders that have already left.

Yay! Go Bob. Turn them straight around, back to France. It’s safe there…or Italy, or Greece. Why are they all traipsing through multiple safe countries to get here? Mme
