The Island Community is paying tribute to Nikki Flux-Edmonds – the mother of 6-year-old Keziah Flux-Edmonds – who has sadly died following a battle with cancer.
The sad news of Nikki’s passing was first shared yesterday morning (Saturday) with a Facebook post confirming that Nikki – who was only diagnosed with cancer back in December 2023 – had died following an 11-day stay in the hospice.
It was back in June of 2016 that 6-year-old Keziah Flux-Edmonds was killed by her father at their home in East Cowes.
The unimaginable events of that day left a lasting impact not only on the local community but on the Island as a whole.
Following the tragic events of June 2016, Nikki set up Kezi’s Kindness, a local charity that helps pay for school trips, delivers treats at Easter and Christmas, and everything in between.
A statement on the Kezi’s Kindness Facebook page has said:
“Cancer is a horrible disease and strikes indiscriminately.
“In early December 2023 she was diagnosed. The cancer was already in three places.
“She was given 9 months expectancy.
“She fought and fought and fought and gained an extra 4 months.”

Island Echo wishes Nikki’s family, friends and anyone that knew her all the best at this time.
Very sad news, so many persons have been sadly dying of
cancer over the last few years, more than usual.
