Police are investigating whether any medication has been stolen following a break-in at a pharmacy in Newport this morning (Thursday).
Officers received a report at 08:18 that the glass panel on the door of Day Lewis Pharmacy on High Street had been damaged.
No arrests have yet been made with enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary on 101.
UPDATE @ 15:00 – Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have confirmed that a 44-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of burglary and a 38-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

I can only imagine that the Numpty’s don’t
fear the law, let’s face it, the police catch them
and then they go to court, they don’t receive any
strong punishment.
There is no deterrent in 2025 Britain, so sad.
Just pop round the local druggies house your bound to be lucky, although in newport there would be many doors to knock on.
Not to mention the rest of the island.
