A world-class TedX event, connecting the Isle of Wight to a global audience like never before, is taking place in Newport today (Wednesday).
Although tickets for TedXLukeleyBrook are completely sold out, the event is being live streamed directly from the Anthony Minghella Theatre at Quay Arts throughout the day – for free. Recordings will also later be added to the TEDx Youtube channel that boasts some 32million subscribers.
TEDxLukelyBrook brings people together to be inspired by sharing ideas worth spreading from the Isle of Wight to the world. The carefully selected line-up of speakers are all leaders in their field, forward thinkers interpreting the event theme of ‘If not now, when?’ from their unique point of view and personal experiences.
Speakers taking to the famous round red carpet today include Gina London, author and Emmy-winning former CNN correspondent; Mart Drake-Knight, co-founder at Teemill and Kim Davis, who has worked with A-list celebrities including Beyoncé and Marc Jacobs. Other speakers include James Green, Tina Jennings, Josh Barry. Dr Adrian Gill, Will Perry, Tim Sissons and Clive Loseby.

Alongside the main theatre event, a Watch Party focussing on youth will be held simultaneously at the Riverside Centre today, with over 200 young people due to attend.
