W Hurst & Son is hosting a ‘Celebration Day’ next weekend to mark a very special milestone. Founded back in 1859, the local firm is celebrating 165 years in business this year with an event on Saturday 1st June. Much of the activity, including in-store demos will take place at the Newport branch where there is more space. Live chef demos – allowing punters to sample delicious creations – will also take in Newport. Hurst has won numerous awards over the years and was most recently won a customer service award at the 2024 Isle of Wight Chamber of Commerce Awards. On the day savings and prize draw giveaways will take place in all of the 6 W Hurst & Son stores.
