Hovertravel have suspended their cross-Solent service to and from Ryde this morning (Thursday).
Adverse weather is being blamed for the decision.
No hovercrafts are currently running between Ryde and Southsea meaning passengers are having to divert to Wightlink’s Fastcat service instead.
An update is due at 07:00, but the service may remain suspended beyond this time.
All other cross-Solent travel operators are running to timetable.
UPDATE @ 07:34 – Services have now resumed and are said to be operating to timetable.
Customers are reminded to book flights online and to bring a face covering.
