Hovertravel has recognised 27 staff for their continued contributions to the company. The knowledge and commitment of long-serving employees were praised at a presentation at the company’s head office in Ryde.
The awards were given to those celebrating 10 years, 20 years and 30 years with the company. Quite remarkably, these 27 staff members make up 420 years of combined service, a milestone worthy of highlighting.
Managing Director, Neil Chapman, said:

“As we celebrate 50 years of continuous operation and keep on evolving, delivering this unique service has demanded high levels of commitment from our staff who have embraced new technologies and new ways of working to deliver efficiencies. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to thank staff for their unrelenting dedication and to take this opportunity to celebrate their professionalism.”
The surprise ceremony was held at the head office In Ryde and each employee received a certificate and a gift consisting of a meal, weekend break or a stay in London with tickets to a top west end show.
